State GOP Calls On Democrat Gene Jeffress To Take Stand On Obamacare
Little Rock, Ark. – After voting to spend $7.7 million in taxpayer money to implement the President’s health care law in Arkansas, Democratic Fourth Congressional District Candidate Sen. Gene Jeffress hasn’t said much when it comes to whether he supports the repeal and replacement of Obamacare.
“Arkansans deserve a fact-based debate on an issue that accounts for one-sixth of our national economy,” said Republican Party Chairman Doyle Webb. “Does Gene Jeffress support President Obama’s government takeover of healthcare or does he stand with the majority of Americans in supporting the law’s repeal?
“Obamacare raises health care costs, creates trillions in new government spending and makes it harder for businesses to create jobs and put Arkansans to work. Tom Cotton is committed to repealing Obamacare and replacing it with real free-market reform. Will Democrat Gene Jeffress stand with President Obama or will he join Republicans in fighting for hardworking Arkansas taxpayers?”
