Arkansas Democrat Idea Of “Brighter Future” Means Higher Taxes From Obamacare

Little Rock, Ark. – According to a Talk Business/Hendrix College poll released Sunday, nearly 60 percent of Arkansans want their elected officials to continue blocking the implementation of Obamacare, yet the Democratic Party of Arkansas, which supports the President’s health care law, says it is “moving our state forward towards a brighter future.”

“Gov. Mike Beebe and Arkansas Democrats in the legislature are doing everything they can to implement this massive tax increase on the people of Arkansas,” said Republican Party of Arkansas Chairman Doyle Webb. “Democrats talk about wanting a ‘brighter future’ for Arkansas, yet support a law that includes $810 billion in job-killing taxes and will cost our nation $2.6 trillion once fully implemented.

“The real question for Arkansas Democrats is this: Does your definition of a brighter future include forcing a massive tax increase on Arkansans thanks to Obamacare? In November, the choice is clear. Either support Republicans who believe a brighter future for Arkansas means more jobs or continue the status quo with Arkansas Democrats whose idea of a brighter future means higher taxes.”
